Snow forecast by Met Office for Sunday, wrap up warm!



The met office has forecast snow for hill areas around the UK, mainly covering Scotland and some of Northumberland.

With temperatures set to fall a few degrees below freezing throughout the North of England, the met office has released a yellow weather warning related to ice between 9 pm Saturday to 11 am Sunday.

So what is a Yellow Warning for Ice?

The warning issued reads – Icy patches, with snow mainly on higher level routes, may cause tricky travel.

Here is what to expect

  • Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times
  • Icy surfaces may make accidents and falls more likely.
